Re: Black Friday 2014 deals

2x3 is cheaper. For a home garage I would go 2x3. Some guys argue for the 3x3 but most don't lift enough to warrant one.

Enjoy the shopping!!

Re: Black Friday 2014 deals

EliteFTS has 15% off weights (Eleiko bumpers and bar/weight packages), and pretty much their whole site is on sale.

Link to EliteFTS Eleiko page.

If you need wraps or straps or belts, their prices are unmatched from everything I have seen (45% off), and their quality is among the best out there. I have their top of the line belt which is so overkill for a crossfitter that it's not even funny.

Re: Black Friday 2014 deals

Cool - after comparing for a few minutes, I went with 2x3. Frankly it is $125 cheaper, and actually I think has more features with the westside hole spacing, fat/skinny p/u choices, and band pegs included.

Re: Black Friday 2014 deals

EliteFTS is live and just as good as last year, but the website is probably getting slammed right now.
Very slow...

R-3 and Fortis 3 seem very similar with few exceptions. I cite what I see as differences:

R3 - 2x3, west side holes, fat/skinny p/u - $625

Fortis 3 - 3x3, single p/u - $750

So as I see it, the R3 has a few nice features that the Fortis doesn't along w/ being $125 cheaper and having cheaper accessories since it is 2x3 compared to 3x3. For the novice, 38yo garage gym guy, I do not see the 3x3 as necessary.

Any feedback, comments, and things I'm missing? Hope everyone is stuffed w/ turkey and thankfulness.
R3 will need to be bolted down, Fortis without plate storage might need bolting too, not sure.

I'm a garage gym guy too. I bought the R3 last BF...no complaints. Would probably do it again...smaller footprint than a lot of other racks leaves more space for oly/dl area.

I think both need bolt down. I did also purchase two plate storage pegs and will add those for added stability. I'm pleased with what I ordered and am excited to wait on UPS now.
