Fight gone bad (on own)

Hi All,
Been crossfitting since April 1st of this year and have been managing to adapt/scale you name it as many workouts as I can so I can follow mainsite as much as possible and get my workouts in. I complete them all on my own, at a regular gym (not your typical Globo, very old fashion gym).

My question is I would like to do Fight gone Bad as my workout tomorrow. How can I accomplish this on my own? I have a digital watch that I can set the timer as a count down, but my worry is keeping correct count of reps. I know I can write down as I go however carring around my note pad and writing #'s is obviously going to slow down my transitions etc.

I really want to try this WOD, but this is what is holing me back, any suggetions???

Letting the possibility that you might not know how many reps you completed hold you back is a pretty weak excuse. Do it to challenge yourself. Do it for the men that died.

If all else fails, you could always video it and count your reps after.

I never said I WAS NOT GOING TO DO THE WOD, I simply said I was worried about keeping count and was looking for advice... CHILL OUT, Saying it is a weak excuse and to do it for the men who died is a little over board. I am looking for advice on completing the work out in a way where I can track my progress for future attempts, not looking for some bogus pep talk from a stranger.

Anyone else out there got any sound advice?

PS don't think people at the gym would appreciate me setting up a video camera.

Carry a marker on your person. Write the number of reps for each segment on your hand or arm. Yes, it will slow you down a little, but not all that much.

Haha I was actually thinking of doing this, Just did not want to not have the ink come off... It would look a little foolish.

I've done that... was looking funny afterwards...but it helped me keeping track of it!

You can count the total reps each round and record it during the rest.

So what I was able to do was set up three main work areas, the farthest being about 10-15 yards away where the rower was, and the other two being only feet from one another. I was able to keep my log book on a close by bench and after 2-3 exercises/events I could quickly jot down the #'s... was def tough to remember. And then whatever was left during the 1 min rest I would write down.
I was somewhat please, got around 310's for my final rep count, would have liked to have done a little better, def having to keep resetting my watch, writing in a log book, and moving to the rower slowed me down a bit... still very challenging.

Thanks for all the help, maybe what I did can help someone else down the line.

As long as you are consistent, your transition times don't matter. Consistency matters if you are keeping track of your scores for benchmark or trending purposes.

I carry a little notebook to keep track of reps/rounds and it takes maybe two seconds to note the completion of a round/rep count.

I think your rant at Rebecca was unwarranted. You stated:

This could reasonably lead someone to believe that you weren't going to attempt the WOD until you had a better solution to keep track of reps than writing it down on a notepad.

Wow, this is getting a little to serious (childish?) for a simple post about a WOD. No wonder people say Crossfitters are snobs. WE ARE!
