Can someone please give me a description and hopefully a link to a picture, clip etc, on what this exersice is and how to do it. I hear doing Reverse Hypers on a bench is a good alternative to Back Extensions.

Back extensions lift the upperbody, reverse hypers lift the legs. Lay on a flat surface, on your stomach. You need somthing to hold on to. your legs should dangle off the edge of the surface so they are, at least at 90 deg. lift both legs. You could do this off the back of a pick-up truck bed, edge of a table, or put a swiss ball on a bench, lay on the swissball so your upper body is approximately at 45 deg and your grabbing the bench. Elite fitness or the westside barbell websites have pictures. This can be done with ankle weights or by attaching weights to your ankles with webbing. They also make reverse hyper machines, which are used, almost daily by Westside powerlifters. Great for rehab and working the posterior chain.

CAn't say enough about this exercise. I include it everyday as either part of the warm-up or part of the workout. I usually like it as my last exercise to finish off my back.

Here are some links, try google for more:
