Re: Crossfit for weight loss

Hey Gayle, good job. Congratulations!

However, I just wanted to reiterate what others have been saying. Cutting your calories way down is the HARD way. Also, has all kinds of effects on metabolism that make it hard to maintain your weight in the long run.

The easy way is to just cut out all the grains and other refined carbs. I've gone from 215 in October to 190 now by doing this. The thing is I eat a TON (~3000-4000 cal/day). I'm eating easily as many total calories as before but the weight still seems to melt off as if by magic.

As others have said you might want to transition away from the refined carbs as a next step. Good luck...

THANKS YOU!!!

HI EVERYONE!!!

WOW Thanks SO Much for all the advice!!!!
You all are AWESOME and this board licks a**!!!!

This week I really wanted to step my game up and start the "paleo" or "zone" but I have not

This week has been one of the hardest weeks in my life!
Last Tuesday my Grandma had a Stoke cause by a "Normal" Procedure she went in for...
Long story short in her "Living Will" she states she doesn't want to be a vegetable, so we have no other choice but to watch her die
Yesterday and Today have been the hardest on me!
She been without everything for 4 days now

I have Not been to the Gym and to be honest I've ate bad both days

I know I need to be strong but I'm finding it hard!!!

Tomorrow I do plan to go to the gym and try to get my head back in the game!
I'm really mad at myself for going back to my old ways by using food as my comfort!

Sorry in advance for a not so positive post!
Life can change in a blink of an eye!

-Take Care!
