Questions about Fight Gone Bad IV?

I'm trying to organize a group of buddies to get together at a friend's gym and do the FGB event in 2009, I just have one question though, for those of you who have ever set up a team to do it with more than 10 ppl. Does the event have to happen at a CF affiliate? None of us belong to an affiliate but we all train using CF on a regular basis. Could we still participate as a team in FGB IV even though it won't be at a CF Affiliate?

Hi Ron,

It's awesome that you have interest this early for organizing for next year! What a great event FGB III was! I was knocked off my feet by the way everyone pulled together for one cause. We had 75 participants, totalled over 20,000 reps and more than $32,000 raised just from our athletes alone. Very inspiring.

Herrm, thanks a lot for the info, I've been looking for a event coordinator's contact info but was coming up empty handed. THANKS ALOT! I really appreciate it buddy.

I've read in the FAQ about having the event at a CF affiliate's gym, but I've seen numerous gyms on there that I could find no CF affiliation with hene the reason why I'm asking.

And that picture looks brutal, I can't wait to get everyone/thing together so that we can all do this for next year! Looks brutally fun!

It's not my gym to affiliate and I'm not gonna force my buddy too just to participate.

One day if I own my own gym, then I'll definitely be an affiliate.

I know Florida is not as ideal for everyone as the middle states, but we could always do it at Leo's gym, Crossfit Evolution.

I thought about that man, still looking into the whole afiliate thing though, and Leo hasn't been around much lately. But that would be a pretty simple fix.

Hes not around the boards but im sure hed be down for his gym. Either way i will be moving there in about 10 days so im ready for anywhere.

You got his email? If so send it to me in a PM if you get a chance and I'll see what he says. I know Steve wanted to do a strongman comp too, so maybe we could set something up like that at Leo's gym...still all up in the air.
