Hello Everyone! Thought I would make a post introducing myself. Iv'e lurked on this message board for awhile, and decided to get in on the fun. Although I don't follow the crossfit workout of the week, I have been using their concepts and thought process for a long time. My workouts consist of the following tools: Sandbag, sledge hammer, lunges, weight vest, dumbells, and burpees. During any given workout, I will combine these tools into a nice intense session. My goals are health and performance orientated. I trained in judo for a few years, and use what I learned on the mat to gauge how I workout. Even though I don't train in judo anymore, I train as if I were going to step back on the mat next week. I started lifting when I was 13 yrs old. I was the typical heavy, max weight kind of guy. Lifting heavy weights and numbers was all that I cared about. Stepping on the judo mat was the biggest eye opener for me. It completely changed how I trained. KEEP THINGS FUNCTIONAL.
Take care Kevin |
