Re: Why do you train?

I train to be able to throw kids as far as I can when throwing them into the gymnastics pits.

On a serious note, I train because I was a former athlete and have always been involved in athletics since I was born. Yes, there was a baseball in my crib as my first toy. Yes, I did learn to bridge early on so my dad would stop crushing me. And yes, I did learn that doing duckwalks really sucked for not listening.

In reference to being like Superman, I read Batman ever since I was little and can remember seeing Conan at an early age besides Rocky. I always wanted to run as fast as the Flash and held the title of the fastest moron around HS.

Re: Why do you train?

When I wasn't consistently working out my life would become a slippery slope. I'd stop eating right then the next thing you know I stopped paying my bills.

Working out is the glue of my life.
I need to do it for life stability.

Re: Why do you train?

Because I can, and to prepare myself for becoming a Hospital Corpsman in the Navy.

And being able to say after a WOD, "Yep, I'm alive." While being on the deck, supine and trying to catch my breath.

Re: Why do you train?

It's just a "celebration" of moving my body.

I train because it is fun and it is always fun to meet people you went to school with and see how much older they look!(I am 38 ).

Re: Why do you train?

I train, because there are those who must pay for what they have done.

Re: Why do you train?

Because life demands a lot of me, and I never want to fail to be up to the challenge.

Re: Why do you train?

I train because crossfit is the easiest way to get in great shape, be strong, be fit, do things that most people find amazing, to get groped by the ladies, and just to walk around like I'm a badass. I do jiu-jitsu on the side just so I can back it up, if required.
