Re: Why do you train?

I started training and dieting right January of this year. Anytime before that if I had heard about crossfit I would have thought of nothing and finished smoking my cigarette and eatting my apple fritter. That would be why I was a lifetime high 265 lb @ 6 foot 3 inches tall. Now after 3 monthes of globo gym style workouts and 2 1/2 monthes of crossfit workouts I am down to 220lbs and wish I had started the crossfit workouts years ago.

I have gained a lot of strength from my training.

My reason for training?

Besides what everone else has already said I wanna know just how strong I would be if I had started years ago.

So I train and I train hard.

It has become a lifestyle for me.

Re: Why do you train?

  1. To return to submission grappling and be able to learn more effectively (conditioning should allow me more mat time and more effective mat time)
  2. Vanity

Re: Why do you train?

I train to show my horse. I want to be able to ride longer, be stronger, sit taller...

Re: Why do you train?

Why dont people train I think is the better question. The human body represents one of the best designed machines on the planet. It is designed to work hard, and it adapts very quickly to said work. To waste what we have been given is just... a shame.

Personally a combination of vanity and the fact that I am joining the defence force this year. GSO in the amry.

I train in order to prepare for the apocalypse if it does come... have to be ready to go hunt for my food in the event of societies collapse.

You know there is a tribe in Mexico that hunts by chasing deer or other animals until they exhaust and fall down. Then they stone it to death. Sounds like a crossfit WOD.

Re: Why do you train?

I train for most simple reason of all. Because I can.
