Brodhead, WI competition tomorrow!

Well, i'll be deadlifting in about 13 hours! Have never done a competition before, this will be interesting. I'm not sure what it will be like at all, hopefully fun!

I did some butt kicking and got down to make the lightweight category...which is 156 and under....normally i'm around 165ish. Just weighed myself, 156 exactly so that or below won't be hard to make. I'll have an hour or so after weigh in before I lift so I grab a quick bite to eat. Hopefully my PR deadlift from 4 days ago, 320, will be good enough for a trophy

I will be wearing my "Join The Fight Against Muscular Atrophy" shirt that I bought from the Witchita site.

I'll post tomorrow with the results! Thanks to crossfit for even thinking I might have a chance, haha!

It is the Brodhead Health and Fitness Deadlift and Bench Press Competition. Mapquest tells me its about 50 minutes from Madison. Weigh in 830-930am and competition begins at 10am.

Well, I survived it! Wasn't a huge turnout, probably about 30 people total. I was the only lightweight(156<) for the deadlift, so of course I won. But I made sure to earn my trophy. The event has been going for 9 years and I set the new deadlift lightweight division deadlift at 325lbs! Probably could have gotten 335 even.

It was a lot of fun, some giants guys did like 640lbs...crazy. Got a sweet t-shirt, trophy, and had lots of fun. I have pictures and videos, but need to upload to youtube still. How do I post pictures in a message?

Finally got the video up. Was a fun competition and a good first competition. I'll have to do one again.
