This shouldn't come as any big surprise to me. I know it won't surprise many of you here. Just the same, its amazing how much holding back/tapering, does for your desire.

I took last weekend off. My first break in 12 weeks. Went easy Monday, Today, and will do the same Thursday and Friday. I have my first Amateur Strongman comp Sunday, and right now I feel like a horse chomping at the bit. Eager to get lifting, pushing and pulling.

I know just how you feel man. I'm on an 8 week routine (it sucks, but every eight weeks my body gets pooped and needs some time off to revitalize). I'm on day 1 of 5, and my brain is already saying things like "maybe just a few pullups, it won't hurt"; "maybe just a little planche work". Agggh.

I feel your pain!

Yeah, I can't wait to see what you do, especially after a frustrating week off! Let us know how it goes, and best of luck!

Thanks Guys!!!
I'm pretty stoked!. I've really done no specific training related to it, as I was curious to see how I would do following "just" the crossfit principles. The events are pretty standard Strongman stuff. A tire flip,(tire is supposed to weigh over 500lbs) for time, incline log press, reps for time, throwing beer kegs onto a high platform, and one other, not even sure what it is.
I'm figuring it will make for a good testimonial.
