UFC Legend and Hall of Famer, Dan "The Beast" Severn, is scheduled to fight in my hometown on June 30th. I'm not sure who they have lined up as an opponent, but I've volunteered Jeremy Froley. This is the first MMA event in our province, so it's pretty cool to land a huge name.

Dan was one of my favorite fighters when I was growing up. He had some brutal slams and was an absolute lunatic in the cage. The visions of him dropping knees to the Russian's forehead while blood poured out of the guy's skull have been burned in my brain forever.

Can't wait!

I was at Dan's on Monday. He just got back from the UK where he won a bout against the top MMA guy in England.

It is great to see old wrestlers never really lose it.

He's also worked atleast one fight recently. You really have to wonder what you're going to get when you see that guy.

Douglas, while Robert Berry is a skilled fighter, i would hardly call him the top MMA guy in England.

Charlie, I'm not sure what you mean...? I was just surprised he's been so active the past few years ... he's 52! And even if he's not top form on the 30th, I'm sure he'll plow through his 0-3 opponent!

I saw him a couple years ago in Vegas fighting in KOTC. While I give him props for persistance, he's not exactly the most entertaining fighter.

Don't get me wrong Douglas, he is good, and could go far on the world stage without a doubt, but right now he would not be the best fighter on the English scene.

Who then would you say is the top fighter in England right now? Do either of the two TUF 3 guys stack up at all?
