Some days I canīt do the prescribed WOD because I donīt have access to a gym all the time. Would it be okay to switch WODīs and for example do running 5K the day your supposed to do heavy squats? Or is there a special thaught behind the order that the WODīs are done?

Yes, there is indeed special thought put into the order of the WOD's in a 3 on, 1 off cycle, as well as how the WOD is done. that's why we're all here.

If you must modify due to lack of equipment, I'd recommend trying to simulate the movement and nature of the WOD.

You might consider buying some weights. I bet you could find a cheap set on craig's list.

Sure you can switch it up as long is it followes the Crossfit concept. The WOD isn't set in stone. It just makes it easy to follow the crossfit model by doing the WOD.

If I can't do the WOD or something like it I use an alternate workout that combines a number of exercises to hit my entire body. That way I can be sure I'm not missing anything. For example, I'll do 5 rounds of 100 skips, 20 walking lunges, 20 push ups, 20 squats, 20 sit ups

"...Constantly varied if not randomized functional movements performed at high intensity..."

As long as it falls within that idea, it's perfectly fine ;)

i switch around wod's all the time due to my work schedule. it may not be the best possible scenario, but i am still very satisfied with the results and the Crossfit Police have not picked me up yet! :uhoh::lol:
