Re: 20+ Round Cindy

Congrats on 20+ rounds of Cindy. I'm nowhere close to that after 4 months. I'm glad you posted so I have a general idea that maybe I can be closer to 20 after a full year.

Just wondering -- I'm about your size, 39 years old, and your numbers are far better than mine on everything EXCEPT running. Why? Have your running times improved over that 1 year time?

Re: 20+ Round Cindy

Seems like my muscular endurance is the first to go followed by cardio ability if I don't stay on them like crazy. I'm still hoping for my 20+ round Cindy, just about at 17 last time.. probably about 13 now, tho lifting heavier then ever.

Paul, I'm not sure. I kinda just suck at running =/ usually anything involving heavy running is quite a grind for me. I did manage a 0:37.43 200m sprint PR the other day (on an actual track, different from where I'm used to running), and yes, my running times have improved over the last year.

I think it's also possible I might've misjudged the distance on the spot I mapped out. Instead of doing 400m's, it's more likely closer to about 525-550m. I just say 400m to keep it 'consistent.'

Re: 20+ Round Cindy

I did Cindy for the first time last night, at least a true Cindy at least. I had done it a few times but with strict chin-ups, and would always get around 10 rounds. Since just recently I installed my PU bar just now I'm doing kipping PU's... and last night was totally different. The pull-ups were all straight through and actually quite easy in sets of 5!! Muscular endurance wasn't a factor there. The push-ups sucked, I only got 10 straight in the first two rounds, my endurance on them is SUCKING, 5 push-ups felt tougher than 5 kipping pull-ups. The squats unbroken. I managed 14 rounds in 20:12 ... I was so out of breath, wow, I love the feeling now (hated it yesterday). I cannot wait to post a testimonial of a 20 round Cindy. Congrats to anyone who can do it!!

Congrats Stephen, I guess the next goal is 25 rounds for you and me. I'm working on getting up there with the firebreathers. Maybe we'll meet up at the games sometime.

I'm with ya there, buddy. I went from 13 rounds to 16 time. Can't wait to hit the 20, either.

Mad props to the OP.
