My brother and I are currently researching and planning on starting a cf affiliation in our area. We have received the info from CF on the steps to take to obtain an affiliation. Currently we are writing up our essays and I'm just starting to get involved on the message board. We are looking forward to visiting some local CF Facilities.... Crossfit San Diego, So Cal Crossfit, Crossfit Orange County, and of course Mike's Gym! Anyone out there from these facilities? We are also signed up for a couple of certification programs this summer and fall that we are very excited about. Our plan is to start small. Workouts in our garage and local parks and then hopefully moving into a facility. Friends are already showing interest which is very encouraging. For those with experience in starting up in this capacity do you have any tips, advice, helpful resources? What's a good way to get your name out there? Any and all input would be great and much appreciated!

I know it would be a really long trip, but you can always come by and see our facility. We've been a CF affiliate for 3.5 years and have a small place in Ramona.

That would be great. Thanks so much! My brother is out of town until the 14th but we would love to come when he returns. Are some days better than others?

I'll let Jeff get that one. :-) For a visit you will want to meet both Jeff and Mikki.

I am a member, and there usually only in the evenings, and Saturday morning. Saturday is a fun day guaranteed and I never miss that, if I can help it. 10:15 is when the group class starts.

Mike's Gym is even closer....

But you won't see the typical CF group classes. If you're interested in coming by, shoot me an email or a call and I'll let you know good times.

Don't miss CrossFit SoCal - some clever design ideas for you there, and it is not far from Mike's Gym.
