Re: Tommy H on Broken Skull Challenge

I still think the most impressive part of that episode was the black dude's dismount getting out of the trough.

This, it was pretty bad@ss.

But like everybody else, i was looking at the events as they were announced and they were perfect for a big crossfitter like Tommy. I was a little curious though, it looked like he started to run out of steam just a little bit towards the end of the plate drag and again up the hill before his rope climb. But they do this weird, hazy slow-mo/time lapse thing with the cameras during the show and it just makes it a little hard to tell exactly how hard the guys are pushing.

Actually I think it's pretty interesting. Especially that they have to wrestle in the ring besides that event where they have to touch a flag and end up dragging the other opponent to hit it.

And those hills look like *****es.

It's fun to watch. I also like watching it with my girls, it shows them women kicking butt.

I only have one complaint, on the 3rd event, before you meet your opponent before the sumo pit, what is the advantage of doing the metcon before it fast?

I wondered that too. I guess you're the first one in the circle and you can get in position to bum rush your opponent as soon as they step in. But it seemed like they didn't let them do that so I have no idea.

The pit if you lagged you had to go right then.. very little rest. I think that doing the hard work faster sets the tone.. plus you get a little rest and focus on the whoop-*** that you are about to deliver. Good show.. like the girls also.

Only problem w that is Tommy leisurely walked to the circle and took his time before he entered. He didn't have to run straight to it and start.
