Broken blood vessels in my eye from HSPU
My left rotator cuff didn't like it very much either. Suggestions?

Re: Broken blood vessels in my eye from HSPU
I know it probably looks awful, but it's really not a big deal, medically speaking. It's called a subconjuctival hemorrhage, and it's self-limiting and harmless. It goes away without treatment.
Assuming you don't have undiagnosed bleeding problem (in which case you'd have bruising, little red marks all over your body, nosebleeds or rectal bleeding) or high blood pressure, just fuggedaboutit. Susie |

Re: Broken blood vessels in my eye from HSPU
Just do handstands for about a minute every other day or so and this will help strengthen those vessels so they don't pop.
Also -- learn how to breath in that position. It will help too. |

Re: Broken blood vessels in my eye from HSPU
Yeah I had to work up to handstand pushups, so by default I had already done lots of handstand holds already (I wasn't strong enough to do any version of a HSPU when I started them), and my body learned to adapt to the added pressure. I'd just do plenty of handstand holds, and you'll get used to it. But jumping right into doing HSPU's, it might get tough.
