To Those Attending the Mesa Firefighter and CrossFit Flagstaff Certs in October

all links in the message are family and work safe

Hi everyone!
Just a heads up that we will be having a kettlebell trainer as a guest presenter on Sunday morning of both of the certs. He has access to Apollo brand KB's, which he and the Phoenix fire dept.s have been using and have been as satisfied with the quality as the much more expensive Dragon Door KB's.

If any of you who are attending the Mesa Firefighter and/or CF Flagstaff certs are interested in purchasing kettlebells, Bob would be willing to pick them up in Phoenix for you and bring them to the seminars. You will need to email me directly by September 30th and no later. I will need to know what size(s) you want. For reference about sizes, you can look at the Dragon Door kettlebells, www.dragondoor.com. For a discussion about Apollo KB's, you can reference this CF link: http://board.crossfit.com/showthread.php?t=14121&page=1.

Bring money to the seminar to pay for them and you won't be out shipping costs-just the price of extra luggage!

The Apollo kettlebells are being sold for 95 cents a pound, plus tax, which will put them at about $1.05-$1.20 a lb., depending on which size you choose. This is a huge savings over other brands and it sounds like he and the fire dept. guys are pretty sold on the quality and shape.

If you live in the Phoenix area, he is getting these kettlebells from Play It Again Sports, 3143 E. Greenway Rd. Suite 705 PHX, AZ. 602-971-8604, or 5137 W. Thunderbird Rd. Glendale AZ. 602-942-9224. OR Sports Exchange, 1120 S. Country Cub #104 Mesa, AZ. 480-833-1166. You can pick them up there for the same price.

Also, some of you were asking me about hotels in Flagstaff. If you click on the Flagstaff, AZ link under the seminars it will take you to the information for hotels and transportation. http://www.crossfit.com/cf-seminars/...-sem_Oct07.pdf.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the certs!

I was a little confused about the pricing quotes, so emailed Bob back for some clarification. Here is his response:

"Hi Lisa, Sorry for the confusion. If the attendees want to get kettlebells by themselves, the price is $1.05 at Play It Again Sports OR $1.20 at the Sports Exchange. I can get a firefighter's discount at Play It Again Sports only, at 95 cents a lb. Hope that helps."

How often do the seminars come around? I really wanted to go to the Oct one but it was all sold out.

Lisa;

Love your Whup *** Rx.
David George, the Supreme Maker of Ice Cream Cones in the World, still talks about his visit to your place. Kick some butt at the cert and happy belated B-day.

Hi Cory! Sorry you weren't able to get into the Flagstaff cert! There are certs at least every month in different areas around the country, most of them in California. Not sure if you're asking about certs in general or just in Arizona?

If you're wondering about when certs are held in general, they are listed along the right side of the main CrossFit.com web page. If you're asking about Arizona, we aren't slated to have another just yet, but it might be a possibility that we would consider hosting another one in the future. We'll see what all of us think of this location after the October cert is done.

So, keep a look out on the website and get signed up quick when you see the location you want. They fill up fast! You'll also notice that at the beginning of the year the certs are changing a bit. There will be Level 1 certs and Level 2 certs. If you haven't attended one before, you will want to look for the Level 1 locations.

Good luck, and come and visit us in Flagstaff any time! You don't need a cert to come up here and workout with us!

Jay, good to hear David went home with glowing reports! He was awesome! Great squat form! We always LOVE to see that! Half our work is done! Come and visit with him sometime, as we do expect he will return when he is in town checking on those ice cream cones! Thanks for the birthday wishes! All the happy birthdays from so many CrossFit folks across the world has made this a pretty stand-out birthday!
