Just wanted to drop a note to say thank you to Coach Burgener and the crew there last Tuesday: Connor, Aimee, Sage, Carla Mac, and the HUGE samoan or hawaiian bra' who had this advice: "you gotta jump in, man. If you're not fast, you don't eat around here." Thanks, bra.

It was just tremendous to be around all of you. Thank you.

Coach B., next time I'm back, I promise to pop in. I'm working on my jerks and who knows, maybe when I'm not atrocious I'll make a run at some masters comps. I promise to bring by some adult liquids as a thank you, from a "new corps" guy to an "old corps" guy.

Sage, thank you for the help lifting. Connor, also. Carla, I'll drop you a dime.
Aimee, Jade is adorable - she was a blast while we were cleaning up. oh, yeah, take a listen to the GnR song: "Patience". I'm looking forward to the clip of you putting up 110. Take a look at the clip of you putting up 105 - watch how you take your time to set up before "going". Ahh, see, there I go again! Don't be so hard on yourself - there's a lot to be learned when we don't succeed.

Dale

"you gotta jump in, man. If you're not fast, you don't eat around here."

Ain't that the truth! When there's a dozen people working out in a two-car garage, you can't be shy about stepping in!

If the dude was around 400 pounds it was Edgar Hernandez.

I hope to get to Mike's this Saturday morning, haven't been there in a long long time...

Linc - 4 bills seems about right. And I mean that in the nicest way possible (just in case he reads this).

Tremendous people there. I was a stranger off the street and they welcomed me like I was an old friend. It was awesome.

hehe... the (in)famous back squat.

I remember a little over a year ago when I first started messing around with the oly lifts. Jerry Hernandez (when he still lifted weight) & I were talking about back squatting.

He tells me "There's this guy Josh Everett that lifts at coach Burgener's..." I cut him off and said yea I know who he is, Ive lifted on a Saturday at UCI when he was up there.

He tells me "ok you have seen him squat? make sure you dont ever squat like that...."

Lincoln,
For those of us who don't like doing the math, what are the other weights in the videos?

Edgar was working up to something a little south of 200 kilos, don't remember how much was on the bar at the time. I think he missed 190kg on his last front squat.

Aimee's got either 65kg or 85kg on the bar, can't tell if those are 10kg or 20kg bumpers on the end of the bar.

Looks like Josh has 160kg on the bar.
