I just wanted to send a thank you to a good friend of mine, Mr. Jon Long, for getting me hooked on Crossfit. I have been doing for about 3 months and it has done wonders for me. Jon is an old shipmate of mine from our days of running search and rescue at Coast Guard Station Golden Gate. We went through alot together there but the one thing that stands out is our nights while on duty training like mad men for climbing. We would bust out the rock rings, campus board and loud music and just train. No BS just straight hard core training, but if we had any idea of this back in the mid 90's we would have been alot better then we where. I live in New Jersey now and Jon came out to visit me and my family, I haven't seen him in about four years and the best part of the visits was training together again. He helped me out alot with my form on certain exercises and helped push me like we use to do. I am a personal trainer and I have changed the way I train people now. I have been called back up to active duty and plan on starting my own boot camp fitness program and hopefully get the training to start my one CrossFit in NJ. I can't imagine going back to the club now and due the same boring hour long traing with clients. I am just rambling now but I am excited about CF and look forward to improving on my personal best on certain exercises. I do not know if Jon post or has access, if not pass the message on to him and you CF coaches don't let him slack now. Kick *** at the worlds in Brazil Jon.
