store bought bars

i like lara bars... they are just fruit and nuts. the cherry pie one is my favorite.

Ingredients in almond/coconut KIND bars:
almonds, dried coconut, honey, non GMO glucose, puffed rice, chicory fiber, soy lecithin. So...built on a decent foundation but not paleo, but also not as bad as some of the other "nutrition" bars out there. It's one of my new year's resolutions to stop eating them. |

And the Clif "C" bars are worth a look. Fruit, nuts and sea salt.

Tanka bars are great -- buffalo and cranberries. Full on paleo. And made by folks who know (it is Native owned and operated).

You can probably make some good ones from almond or cashew butter. In terms of actual protein bars - beef jerky on the side.
