Pull Boxes

i saw pull boxes somewhere on the forums made out of 2x4's. they we're stacked like a log cabin? and screwed together. i just cant seem to find them again. im looking for the dimensions. as always, thanks guys.

I made a pair this way, really easy and very solid boxes. You can make them whatever dimensions you want. Some people prefer smaller boxes to not get in the way when not in use, and other people like them bigger, such as jerk box size. As for height, make them for your height. What I did was load my bar with 10kg plates and hold it where I wanted the boxes to set the bar, then had my wife measure bottom of the plate to the ground. Took 1-2 in off due to error and then calculated how many layers of 2 x 4 I would need. I also put a 3/4" rubber matting on top. Mine are 16" wide by 21" long. Plenty big enough for pulling and lifts off boxes, but still small enough to get out of the way when not in use.

Tim how many of each (3-layer and 5-layer) blocks did you make to get them high enough to act as jerk blocks?

Two bigs and three smalls for me at 5'8. Have another pair of smalls that we can throw on for my 6'2 friend.

So those double as Jerk Blocks then? How much weight have you dropped on them?

The orange straps? I keep them together using tie downs. Works well.

I've dropped a set of 5 push jerks at 225 on them. Dropped a single 280 split jerk on it. Holds up well. There should be videos of them in use on my IG and FB pages.
