It is a good read.

However, one one hand he states that protein powders are too processed for use as an effective source of protein, and then immediately excludes his new whey isolate formula from this statement.

I think most isolates (as well as concentrates) undergo a microfiltration processes at low temperatures specifically to avoid degrading the amino acids and proteins. Whey concentrate typically has more of the important microfractions retained as well. I've seen a few certificates of analysis from various protein suppliers, and I never noticed the degradation he talks about.

I've had good results with the Warrior Diet, and not so good results with it.

Interestingly enough, it worked best when I ate fruit to stave off my hunger, worked worst when I fasted the entire day, and was somewhere in the middle when I would eat a protein snack or two.

The interview intrigued me enough to consider trying it again, with the small, frequent protein feedings he recommends, maybe 3-4 of them during the day.

Good interview Bill. One thing that concerns me is the way he addressed the fitness of Neanderthals. Which I addressed in another thread due to its off-topic nature. But overall, I enjoyed it.

Bill,
Great interview. Nice detailed questions and interesting responses. I'm curious, did you guys discuss training at all? Specifically what exercises he does and what the overall scope and goals of his training are.

Ori's training approach is geared towards 2 things

One, is of course, hormonal manipulation/stimulation. In the best case scenerio on the WD, your'e eating light all day then working out on empty to fire up the "survival" response. Ori describes his workouts as "giant giant sets" The goal is to go very deeply into reserves before the fuel up.

His other concept, discussed in MMMF is "super muscle" Muscle that is both strong and has great endurance.

I will continue to get Pavelized with a crossfit structure. Ori has invited me to do one of his workouts which i will definitely do next time I'm in NYC and report.
