New To CrossFit. Bodyweight Wods For Mass

Hey guys,

I`ve recently found CrossFit and want to start doing the program. Actually, I want to to do CFE because it better suits my goals but before starting I want to add 10-12 pounds. Which WODs you would recommend me to do and how ofter to reach this goal? Till September I`m unable to go to the gym, so right now I need bodyweight WODs.

Diet advices except „eat more, drink milk“ are also welcome

I`m 18years old, 5.8 feet, 147 pounds.

Why are you worried about adding body weight?

I hate to break it to you but this is exactly what you are going to have to do if you want to gain weight. Eat more.

Eat more and don't do CFE. CFE is going to be extremely detrimental to your progress toward a goal of inceasing bodyweight. Get on a strength hybrid program like 70's Big or CFFB, or a linear progression strength program like starting strength, THOSE will help you increase your lean body mass.

Yea, I definitely won`t do CFE till I reach my weight goal.

Still till September I`ll be doing bodyweight WODs. Which would you recommend?

You're going to have to eat more in order to gain weight. There's no way around it.
And you're progress will be stunted if you're only doing metcons.

Body weight workouts are going to make it difficult to gain 10+lbs. Find a way to get to a barbell. Is there any type of gym near you that would have one? What about a neighbor, friend, coworker, someone that has a barbell and squat rack?

Without access to heavy things to lift and a ton of food to eat you'll find it hard to gain weight.

You could easily make some heavy sandbags, or if you are in a more rural area, logs and rocks are heavy and accessible lift heavy things, eat alot, and you will gain lean body mass.

^^ Take that advice - I'm not sure how rural/urban the area you're in is, but a 100lb bag of sand at Home Depot near me costs 3 dollars - split it into some contractor bags and then into a sandbag or dufflebag and you've got a sandbag.
