Rice milk?
I've got someone that doesn't like milk(lactose intolerant?), and has been drinking rice milk.
What are the pros/cons of rice milk? What would be a better alternative, not milk for them to drink? Almond milk? Thanks. |

Re: Rice milk?
It's relatively high in carbs without any protein or fat to offset it, and still has most of the lectins that can cause digestive problems. Why are they drinking it? As a substitute for milk? If so it's a pretty poor substitute and they'd be better off with water unless they're desperate for calories.
Coconut milk or homemade almond milk would be a better alternative. Store-bought almond milk tends to be pretty heavily processed too. |

Re: Rice milk?
I think coconut milk is a great alternative, but I'm not really for almond milk, homemade or store bought. I think its just a great way to jack up your linoleic acid intake. Not good IMO.
