My vitamins

Interested to hear what you guys would add/delete or change with my morning vitamins???

I take-
1 multivitamin (performance Kirkland signature aka costco)
1 vitamin D (400 IU)
1 zinc (50 mg)
1 echinacea (350 mg)
1 B-12 (500 mcg)
2 Fish oil pills in the morning and 2 at night (1000 mg each with 300mg Omega-3 fatty acids)

Sometimes at night before bed (helps me sleep) I take Potassium Magnesium Aspartate (500 mg)

Thanks in advance.

Why benefit do you see in that?

Do you split it up?

These look fine. THe important thing is that you feel good, have plenty of energy, and you can go all out on your workouts. I personally only take cod liver oil, and try to get everything else from the foods I eat. You might want to add more fish oil. Make sure you are looking at the EPA/DHA blend amount, not the overall amount. Robb Wolf prescribes .7-1.0 grams per 10 lbs of bodyweight, but its your call.

I'm curious as well. Seems like a lot, especially when you factor in the amount you get from sunlight alone.

Re: My vitamins

I live is western PA and I work in IT. I don't see the sun

WHen I take less I sleep like crap. WHen I take 5000 I sleep fine

I just take 1 5000 iu gelcap a day. I'll doube or triple up if I miss a day or two. It's fat soluble so it builds up.

Re: My vitamins

More on Vit D3 (WFS) by Steven Low.

D3 is absurdly cheap compared to most supplements and there seem to be pretty obvious benefits to 5000-10000 IUs per day, especially if you're darker-skinned or don't see much sunlight.

As do I.

A few days ago I did a blood test:

Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy: 101.0 ng/mL (High)

Normal: 32.0-100.0

So maybe I'll stop taking that for a little while.

During the winter I took 4000iu in the morning. Sure helped with the mood. I take none now being in sunny California.

Re: My vitamins

If you're eating right, and getting plenty of fresh air and sunshine, you can drop all of them. (but personally I'd keep the fish oil)
