What should I eat in 1 day?

Hey, a little background:

I'm 6 ft. 175 lbs. 18 yrs. old, and pretty active. I play soccer almost every day of the week-- including practice and scrimmages--and I try to do crossfit 4 times a week, too.

I was just wondering what my ideal quantity of healthy food I should intake would look like?

A little more background please. What are your goals? What kind of progress are you showing on the benchmark WOD's?

At 6', 175lbs, and 18 years old, counting or even trying to estimate calories is the last thing I would be worried about. It sounds like you're very active, so the answer to "how much should I eat?" would probably be "more."

What are your goals? Are you trying to add lean mass? If so, the answer would be "a lot more."

Okay, I kind of forgot to mention that I'm brand new to crossfit, though, I've been doing it for about a week and a half and loving it!

I am 6 ft., 175 lbs., pretty low in body fat, I'd say. I play collegiate soccer at my university.

My main goals are: improved performance, strength, flexibility, and agility.

Over the past week I've been doing metcons, and trying out some other crossfit WODs.

As far as progression goes, I haven't really kept track of my times, except for today's, because I have never done these workouts before.

Today I did the filthy fifty in 34:10 as rx'd, except I substituted the double unders for 100 regular jump ropes, because I really have never attempted double unders and I'll save practice for afterwards.

I am not concerned about losing weight, merely reforming my diet for performance and health! (cafeteria food is really bad, apparently--and I eat a [whole] lot of it!)

First off, you're probably right about me needing to eat more, but the question is: more of what? I really am worried about being able to sustain my activities, so I am hesitant to cut down on those foods that are high in carbs, plus I love my cereal and powerade hahah!

Quick digression: I love your avatar - the dude abides.

Adding lean mass would be ideal for me, and probably universally premium for everyone.

However, I would like to tone up. I have a little looseness in my skin, as well as a general lack of definition of my body, which probably comes from lack of mass.

Post what a normal day of food is for you (for example, what you ate yesterday) and we can help you out.

FYI, cereal and powerade are bad sources of carbs.

Well, today I had:
Breakfast - Bowl of cereal, banana
11 am snack - peanuts and another banana
lunch - sloppy joes, chips, a brownie hahahah
post WOD at 3:00 - crab casserole, I think I had about half a can of soda, too.
6:00 - hamburger, yeah...
Dinner - egg sandwich, broccoli, cheese.
post-Dinner - Bowl of Cereal?

Re: What should I eat in 1 day?

You need to eat a lot more meat, fat, veggies and whatever else you want. At 6' 175lbs you should be eating all the time to get your weight up.

Am I underweight? I mean I do a lot of running, (19 min 5k, sub-5:30 mile) so I am just lean as a result. How much should I ideally weigh?
