Real Bumper Plates
What are some brand names or websites for reasonably affordable, but real bumper plates? I don't want to buy a pair online and get a cheap rubber coating over a metal plate.

http://www.roguefitness.com/ (wfs)
Is where I just bought mine. I started with the SoCal econ package but upgraded to the Rogue multi-purpose bar. Very happy with the weights, I just wish 155 pounds wasn't so heavy. ![]() |

Re: Real Bumper Plates
Cheapest
www.wrightexercise.com (Wright) www.roguefitness.com (Hi-Temp) www.muscledriverusa.com (Pendlay Economy) Others www.againfaster.com (sells Hi-Temps as well) www.christiansfitnessfactory.com (sells Wrights, Troy, and others) www.garagegymstore.com (Garage Gym and Hi-Temps) If money is your concern, my personal recommendation is Wright. Call Jason directly, he's a great guy. I have yet to find a cheaper set of bumpers anywhere and I love my Wright bumpers. (All links above are WFS) |

Re: Real Bumper Plates
I have Wright Bumpers and I love them. I think you can buy the ones from Muscle Driver for a little cheaper when you include shipping; Well if you like in CA. A friend of mine has the Econs from Muscle Driver and is really happy with them.
For the price you can't go wrong with either company. |

All of the vendors mentioned above are excellent. Check Werksan as well.

Re: Real Bumper Plates
You can also check out the rubber man at rubberman.com (WFS?) I bought a set of kraiburgs from Alf that I really love, though they might be a bit more expensive that wright or some of the others.

Re: Real Bumper Plates
I vote for Wright as well. Good quality and good communication/customer service.
I've also purchased bars and other equipment from Rogue. Again, good quality, excellent communication and customer service. I placed my first order with the Garage Gym back in February for 2 med balls. I am still waiting and very poor communication and customer service. I was told they were shipped and I asked for tracking info to no avail. |

+1 for Christian's Fitness Factory. Best prices I've found anywhere and great customer care.

Re: Real Bumper Plates
Vote for Rogue.
Affordable and most importantly they are manufactured domestically (as are lots of their other products). |
