Re: JC's Crossfit & Zone Log

James you are a young guy, why the hell you having chest pains and all these issues, bro?

STAY OFF OF ENERGY DRINKS! They are HORRIBLE for you.

Coffee Black or pay for it in the long run. I ONLY drink coffee for caffeine now after learning the hard way.

and make sure you follow those Rip videos for form... and do that coaching we talked about.

As far as eating and stuff goes... that's your achilles heel bigtime... get that together and the rest will come.

Re: JC's Crossfit & Zone Log

Jay...im fixing the eating as we speak (but im sure everyone on this board has heard me say this)

I watched the DVD last night and i cant believe all the things i was doing wrong, in terms of every fricken lift...I cant wait for the back to heal up to get the form work down just from watchin the DVD and hiting motor city xfit

The energy drinks are already tearing up my body so i bought a bottle of 200mg caffeine pills and i take half in the AM to keep me feelin good so i dont have the urge to buy the ****

Re: JC's Crossfit & Zone Log

What DVD did you get, the SS one? Regardless, it's good to see that you've been doing lifts incorrectly. Spend some time on the CF vids off the main page; even if you've seen them a bunch, check out the Rippetoe vids.

(now for the big brother speech)

Dude, you're killing me. Caffeine pills, just to get going in the AM, at your age? Sounds like you need to stop staying up late-whether it's being on FB, playing Magic the Gathering or World of Warcraft, Chasin' Hoes, or whatever it is you young kids do these days. You sound like someone who is not going to bed at a reasonable hour; not uncommon by any stretch, but at your age you should still be able to bounce back reasonably well.

I suggest you start getting to know, and love, black coffee. It sucks to high h3LL at first, but you will eventually get used to it. How many bad-a$$ FFs in your department walking around with sleek and fancy cans of RedBull and Rockstar in the morning? None, they're drinking coffee, most likely black (maybe one of those creamer thingees thrown in). Coffee, learn to love it.

End of sermon.

Re: JC's Crossfit & Zone Log

DC is dead-on balls right.

when I was your age I NEVER even touched coffee, I lived without caffeine, and this was before energy drinks.

Caffeine pills, toss them. Energy drinks, toss them.

Exercise some ****ing willpower for chrissakes

Re: JC's Crossfit & Zone Log

well DC the whole needing energy is from running the calls during the AM hours while trying to sleep. Im only on a paid on call department so im on the pager 24/7 and even if i decided to not run the calls i still wake up from the page

you will get used to that, and until you do, steer clear of the energy drinks
