Moving to singapore

I am moving to Singapore this week and was wondering if there is anyone there training with crossfit? I am a new member and look forward to punishing myself - haha.

I'm from Singapore, and AFAIK there aren't any CrossFit facilities here. There are however gyms and rock walls, depending on what you wanna do.

I saw you left a message on the other thread on CF in Singapore! So... you graduated from Michigan and are back in Singapore? (Go Blue!) I'm in Ann Arbor right now but I was back for a while over summer holidays, and maintained my CF regime (in a globo gym, Fitness First, no less). Yeah, I've heard of the SWF gym in Mountbatten but haven't checked it out. How long have you been CrossFitting for, and how do you go about getting your fix in Singapore where there isn't much knowledge about this training methodology?

Actually I don't CF, but I have tremendous respect for people who do. I only do traditional strength training as well as some strongman training. I do know that CF is coming to at least 1 private gym in Singapore soon, or at least some principles of CF. The owner of the gym, also a friend of mine, announced this only after I posted.

Hey isn't the gym up at North Campus supposedly really really good? I was stupid - I wasn't weightlifting back in college so I never checked it out.

The gym up on North Campus... I've never used the weightlifting facilities there because I live much closer to the IMSB and also sometimes use the CCRB. The pool is nice, though. Anyway I hardly work out on campus anymore because I am a member of HyperFit USA, the CF affiliate in Ann Arbor (which rocks!).

By the way, who is your friend and where is his gym located? Thanks!
