Jodi's been deadlifting for less than 1 year.

She weighed in at 107 the day of this deadlift.

She used a double overhand grip (NOT hook grip).

Two Hundred and two pounds!

And she makes it look easy! Her hips came up a little fast, but she's been working on correcting that during her DE work.

Next deadlift session (Sept 10th if my calculations are correct), she'll go for 215 to solidify the 2xBW and if that goes well, I may convince her to try 225.

I'm very proud of her hard work!

Awesome! Really good work! I just had a PR myself. 185lbs at 135 BW. I've only DL'ed maybe 4 times my last big one was 135. How did she feel after? Sore, tired or just fine? I had done a CF workout right before so I can't tell what I was sore from. You can see the pics in a post call new PR at CFDC.

She's making awesome progress, can't wait to see where she's at in a year or two!

Jennifer, she said she felt great afterwards. It's rare to get sore after doing single reps, so I'm guessing it was the CF workout you did prior! (I couldn't imagine going for a max after an intense metcon workout - good job!!)

Congratulations to both of you! Jodi you are an inspiration to me and my daughters. I love to show them examples of women doing great things like this. Less than a year is awsome!

Excellent work! I just hit a PR of 300lbs which is huge for me. I went from barely being able to do 135 ... then about 4 months later, here I am knocking out 300lb deadlifts.

Keep pushing! There's deadlifting ... and then there is everything else.

Awesome stuff!

I wish I could get my wife to be as dedicated to working out as Jodi is!

Dwayne, your comment put a smile on Jodi's face all day! Sometimes she gets so caught up in her future goals that she forgets how far she's come, so comments like that really put things in perspective! Thank you. :D

Alex, that is insane progress, keep up the good work!!

Allen, I wish you luck - it's a nice feeling being able to share this stuff with your partner. Jodi is the most dedicated and hardest working training partner I've ever had, I'm very fortunate!

Hey thats awesome! There is nothing cooler than a strong woman.

I'll take a serious athlete over a beauty queen any day. I'm lucky in that my girlfriend is a track cyclist who's been known to give the guys a run for their money in the sprints.
