Online Weightlifting Coach

Is getting an "online" weightlifting coach worth the investment? I know it won't be as hands on and interactive which is one of the downfalls but since I can't find a coach in my area that is in my affordable price range, this is my second best option. Any thoughts?

*I feel like an online coach will just give me a program which I can find one online for free.

Check out the Outlaw Way remote video coaching. You purchase a certain number of video reviews:

Because you're right, programming can be found online for free and there are a lot of good ones out there.

I haven't used their video review, but I have been following their programming for a year and had great results. Their athletes have done very well at Regionals and several Games athletes.

I've worked with remote coaches before where they did video reviews for me and it was very helpful. They saw things that I didn't with an unbiased view.

In-person coaching is a big step up, but if you don't have that, these are great options.

Re: Online Weightlifting Coach

I have a friend being remote coached by Dan Bell. I've seen several videos with his voice over comments about her lifts. He is very good.

Re: Online Weightlifting Coach

I got pricing from Diane Fu for remote coaching, it was a pretty good deal to be honest. I couldn't quite afford it, but it wasn't overpriced for the level of coaching you'd receive.

If you've got money to spend, then go ahead.. otherwise, I'd just watch as much video as possible from trustworthy sources and learn it myself.
