Re: evolution of the dumbbell

Is this real? Seriously, it has to be an elaborate youtube hoax. It looked like a dog toy.

Also, the scenes of the guys holding them just out of camera view and staring intently while shaking hard were kind of nwfs.

Re: evolution of the dumbbell

It looks like the same concept as "bodyblade," although not nearly as practical or effective.

If you've never tried bodyblade, it is, in my experience, very effective as a therapy tool, and a good way to warm up. I know we often poo poo any new equipement, and, like anything, it's not the be-all end-all of exercise, but it is an effective auxiliary piece of equipment. If you've never tried one, give it a test drive.

PS: I don't sell bodyblade or anything, I know this post kind of sounds like an ad.

Training merits or lack thereof aside, please tell me I'm not the only one who finds parts of the video vaguely...umm. You know.

Re: evolution of the dumbbell

If you search youtube, Ellen DeGeneres has some funny clips about the shake weight, addressing exactly those thoughts...you're not the first to think that it looks a little obscene
