Disaster Preparedness Kit

We train for the unknown and unkowable. But how many of us are truly prepared? What if you had a sprained ankle? What if your car broke down on a lonely winter highway? Or you and your neighbors had no running water or electricity for an extended period of time? How would you prepare for this?

1. What would you put in your "unkown and unknowable" kit?

2. How many people are you preparing for?

3. Where would you put your kit?

4. What would you put your supplies in?

5. Any special considerations?

6. Do you have one?

Re: Disaster Preparedness Kit

I've always had this daydream of what would I put in a secret room or shed or bunker etc.... in the event of an end-of-world situation, or a revolution or whatever. If I had unlimited money, what would be down there.

I would imagine that there'd be weapons, a non-perishable food supply of some sort, a tank of fresh water, medical supplies. I dunno.

Fun to think about.

Work & Family Safe

No serious fallout shelter would be complete without one: measures accumulated whole body gamma & x-ray dose as well as dose rates ranging from micro-rem all the way up to thousands of rem without the need to manually change scales. It also has programmable alarm setpoints. Pocket sized and field-tested rugged. Very accurate runs forever on a single AA battery - the proverbial Cat's Patooty.

I should hope so Rick. After all that is what we're training for. Isn't it?
