Re: The Chronicles of Brady

No, haven't done any more fasting. I'm just glad to be back on strict Paleo. I'll probably IF a day next week.

Rode into work today. Just about 7 miles. I need to get a new computer for this bike. Glad to be back riding. Saved a few pennies in gas, today, and got a little more in shape! Hooray front squats!

Those legs warmed up for front squats?

Front squat. 5x5

Not my forte. I have flexibility issues with squatting, but I'm working on it. I'm going for form over weight.

85, 95, 110, 125, 140

And I'll be riding home from work today, if the weather holds up.

Good for you for being patient and working on form. I'll probably be doing the same tonight with back squats.

Hope you have a good bike ride home.

Re: The Chronicles of Brady

Wow, wow, wow.

That was a good one. 21:11

It's really important to think of this as an uneven deadlift. At least, that's what worked for me. I had too much bend in my body on my first set. It was hard on my back. After that, I used deadlift form. Then it was just my forearms giving out. Pullups were hard, but I broke them down into sets pretty well. I was really happy with my performance today. I feel great!

Hmm...so, do you think it's possible to do this in conjunction with squats?

Re: The Chronicles of Brady

Squats, maybe. I just know that my back is feeling really weak right now. But, you're tougher than I am

Re: The Chronicles of Brady

Forgot to update yesterday.

Scaled the WOD. 115lbs and regular dips. My back was still pretty weak from virtual shoveling. Feeling better today, but I'm fasting...

I'm not expecting great results today. I don't OH squat very well. I'll probably get some form practice in and do a 5k. My first sprint is probably going to be in March on St Patty's Day. I think it's going to be a great season.

OH! And my wife is wanting to start running with me! I'm SO happy about that! She's been on Paleo with me a little over a week. She's not 100% strict, but I think she's doing okay with it.

Re: The Chronicles of Brady

Ha! I'm not sure anyone feels like they are super studs at OHS. Certainly not me! Just have with it.

A St. Patty's day run sounds like fun. Make sure to drink some green beer post race. Congrats on getting your wide to start running AND paleo. Someone is spreading the gospel, eh?
