Rest day for me. (except the burpees) I was tempted to do the CFE workout but I resisted. I know I need to recoop a bit.

Woke up last night and I had been asleep with my eye open for a while apparently. My contact (they're "night and day" so I can wear them at night) was dried onto my eye! I got it out but it hurt like he***. I think I might have scratched my lens or something. I didn't get much sleep after that. It's better now but a little swollen. Good news is that my right glute isn't hurting today.

Eating disorder demon is rearing it's ugly head though. I caught a glimpse of myself in the Target mirrors today and just kinda lost it. I feel kind of "soft" and totally insecure about how I look right now. I don't have a very "real" perspective on how I look. I should take pics to get a grip.....

Cheers, I'm well chuffed, at the start I was intent on doing a really good time, this quite quickly changed to wanting it to end!

I was thinking of doing your idea of getting my burpees done as part of my warm up and getting them out of the way for the day, today is only 7 but I'm still happy I didn't do them in my warm up plus now I get to look forward to doing them later, oh joy lol

Hi Fergus, I think you can count the burpees you did in the wod towards your 7 for today. If not I'll be doing mine tonight.

The WOD, as a lot of the WOD's, are kinda a test of my limits as I've never done most of them. Today was no exception. I wasn't sure what I was really capable of and probably cold have used more weight on some things. I was feeling a nausous when I woke up this morning so my inclination was to be cautious. I went to the 11:10 showing of "The Dark Knight" (great movie!) and didn't get home until about 2:30 or 3:00 and woke up at 7:30 so that may have been the cause of the funky feeling this am.
Regardless here's how the workout went:

50 bj's with not 24 inch, not sure how tall it was but I'll use the bigger one next time
50 jumping pullups
50 Kettle Ball Swings with 20 lbs (heavier next time)
50 lunges (always the easiest part of any metcon for me)
50 Knee to elbow (got 25, then went to abmat and did 15, felt like they were too easy so went back to bar and did 15 more knees to elbows, formed kinda sucked but I'll keep on til they look awesome)
50 push press with 25lbs (Will use at least 35 next time)
50 back extensions
50 wall balls with 12 lbs ball. (Just threw it up as high as I could. Didn't think the management at the globo would appreciate me hurling the medicine ball at the wall)
50 burpees (oh barf! I had an admirer during this though so I put on a show! )
50 jumpropes (I can do a few doubleunders-will add this too warmup for practice)

Total time: 33:27

well done on the time, you kicked my *** by 5 mins !

of course you realise that this means war!

I threw the ball against a plaster wall first leaving a big black mark (oops) and it sounded like I was gonna put a whole in it, so I'd to quickly exit stage left and go find a concrete wall...

Hah! Well, I'm sure you weren't scaling the weights though. But, rest assured that when I can beat your time by 5 mins doing as rx'd I'll be sure to let you know! But, I'm up for a little friendly competition anytime.

I can't wait to go to the affiliate gym this Friday so I can do the exercises without feeling self-concious or worried about getting in trouble for knocking holes in the walls!

Just got finished with the CFE interval workout. Ran 200 meters and then rested for about 2:30 seconds in between x10 sets.

Well, did my 2k!

Time: 8 mins 53 seconds. I am happy with this time. It was my first time doing the 2k for time. Hopefully faster the next go round.

Also did my 8 burpees as part of my warmup.

AND worked on pullups and developing a kip. It's getting better...
