Re: Vanessa's1st Crossfit Journal

Just finished the CFE workout:

250m intervals x 10 with 1 minute recovery in between

My legs are so dead!

I slaved over the paper all day but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Re: Vanessa's1st Crossfit Journal

Oooh! I am feeling the gh situps today! Holy Ab Soreness Batman!

I did the wod but had to sub a lot. Oh well. I used the smith machne bar to prop my legs up to do the hspu's. I was probably at about an 80 degree angle. I think doing those more often will really, really help me get the full hspu. Then I'll think about off the wall. I tried a few off the wall but my legs kept coming off the all and I just couldn't get down far enough to really justify a pushup.

Pullups were better today. Suprising since we did them yesterday. I did the first few dead hang and then did the rest jumping.

I didn't time anything as I left my watch at home...Oh well, I worked up a sweat and I need to concentrate on form for these exercises anyway.

Re: Vanessa's1st Crossfit Journal

Gawd! I have been sleeping like a rock the past week. I guess it's the CF.I woke up late but did manage to get the WOD in before work.

400 meters and then 50 squats x 4

Completed in exactly 15:00:22

I think I can do it faster. I started out running too slow. I wasn't really sure how far 400 meters was and how I should pace myself. Next time I'll start out stronger.

I am really loving the way I am feeling lately...I can't really explain it other than I feel like I am really challenging myself and I can "feel" my body changing. love it, love it, love it....

Hey Vanessa! If you have access to a track, the 400m run is exactly one loop (but you prob already know that!). Nice job on the WOD!
Glad you are sleeping better. CF is powerful stuff!

It's not easy for me to get to a track. There's one right next door but it's one of these HUGE high school stadiums and you can't get in there. I really wish I could.

Re: Vanessa's1st Crossfit Journal

10k completed this morning! I walked the first 2 minutes so that added a little time but I did it in 54:47! Yay! That's an improvement from last time's 57:18!

Re: Vanessa's1st Crossfit Journal

I could tell today's wod was going to suck. My legs are just tired after the 10k yesterday and to be honest I hven't taken a total rest day since I started CF abot 2 weeks ago. I have done CFE workouts on the CF rest days. So, my deadlifts sucked!

115x5
115x5
135x5
135x4
135x4

I felt a burning sensation in my right lower back on the last 2 sets so I stopped early, afraid I was tearing something...

Then did CFE immediately after because I have to work late tonight.

on C2: 3 rounds pf 125 meters, rest, 250 meters rest, and 500 meters rest.

I think I did this workout right. I went through the whole thing three times and my legs were toast by then end.
