Good point...see my response to Jodi. HUGE hint.

And it will be better soon. Relax, I take my frustrations out in the weight room...usually.

The Chief did look like quite the workout. Oh well, I'll have to wait until I am stronger then I can do it as RX'd and kick some serious BOOTAY!

Feeling better this morning. I am still working on this paper but I am learning a TON about menstruation and how it relates to training and nutrition. Ultimately, body fat and weight have very little to do with menstruation. It comes down to caloric intake and *(I hypothesize) that inadequate fat or protein will inhibit normal menstraution. It related to leptin and ghrelin hormones....very interesting stuff.....


Day 7 of SS today!!!!! Front Squat, DL, and Press are on the agenda.....

Are we going to be able to read the paper when you are done? Sounds like good stuff!

It's not that we aren't interested in smart women, Vanessa... it's just a subject matter that most men, err... uhh... know very little about... and don't have the, err... umm... gumption to pontificate on~

Yeah, that probably sums it up. Though, my wife and I are curious about the topic. Got any good references?

Sure, it will just abe a literature review though...more to come later in the semester...I'll make sure ALL THE GUYS GET COPIES!!!!!!

Ha! That's okay. You guys don't have to respond. But, I do think this is of interest and importance to LOTS of women athletes. I know from experience that most doctors do not know squat about this stuff and it's frustrating to get the "stop working out so much and gain weight" response when you ask for help. Or they want to put you on the pill. If I decide to go into family practice of work in a OB-GYN office I want to be able to help.
