I don't know whether any studies have been done regarding music and exercise...
All I know is if I have some new tunes kicking in my ears I tear through the WOD like shot through a gun!

I love a bit of rock particularly AC/DC but also love dance and techno.

Today I was listening to:
Yeah Yeah (d ramirez vox less dub mix) - bodyrox

Anyone else out there got any recommendations for this british raver??!

Right. I've given it some more thought and come up with these for a crossfit rock mix:

Any Rocky soundtracks
AC/DC Highway to & LiveWire Albums
Run to the hills - Iron Maiden
Phantom of the opera - Iron Maiden
Never Surrender - Saxon
Burn - Deep Purple
If I could only flag her down - ZZ Top
hot for teacher - van halen
love train - wolfmother
down down - staus quo
desire - U2
you think i aint worth.. - queens of the stone age
supersonic - oasis
territorial ****ings - nirvana
question - the moody blues
reason is treason - kasabian
wanted dead or alive - bon jovi

tool - 46 & two (hard)
Busta Rhymes - Gimme some more (<-- best beat ever)
Bone Thugs N Harmony - No Surrender (pure energy)

used to listen to The Crystal Method...just kind of got old.

Eddie has a pretty good mix we listen too, getting used though. Perfect time for this thread to re-emerge.

Try a little Anthrax. And if you like Maiden, "Be Quick or Be Dead" is pretty catchy. http://www.crossfit.com/discus/messages/3499/28746.gif

"Know" by System of a Down...or really most anything by SOAD.
"Bodies" by Drowning Pool
For heavy lifting, nothing beats DMX.
