Hi,
I went to the sports medicine specialist yesterday and he is guessing - since we didn't do an MRI - that I have a partial tear in my shoulder. 6 weeks of physical therapy and thinks it should be better - if not we will get an MRI then.

The doctor says that this will probably chronically bother me since I am going to back of the activities that caused it (pull-ups, dips, etc...). Once it feels stronger I will attempt them again. He hopes that through strenghtening (rotator cuff) and flexibility that surgery won't be necessary.

Any suggestions on what I can do with my shoulder in place of pull-ups and dips and other similiar exercises for the next 6 weeks? Should I just focus on other aspects of Crossfit and approach therapy aggressively to get healthier?

Sorry this rambling, but thanks for any comments.

Jason

I would take it easy for the time your in therapy, and focus on Lower body and non-painful exercise until your done with therapy. Six weeks seems like forever when your going through it, but as long as you stay active in ways that don't hurt you wont lose alot.

Thanks, Jerimiah. I think that is probably what would be best.

Hopefully, PT will make a big difference.
