The oil will also start to attack the rubber and i think you'd end up with a goey diaster

For adjustable weight med balls I recommend a sand/sawdust mix. You can pack the ball full but limit the weight. A sand filled b-ball is just a rubber coated 21# rock. Not very forgiving on a missed WB shot.

Yeah good point on the weight issue with the oil (though again it seems my humour has escaped everyone but myself) hah didn't really think that one through.

I did the same thing almost with sand in the b.ball mine is a little more ghetto. i just cut a slit about 2 inches long and stuck a funnel in it and let the sand fill in, I let it sit a day at a time so the sand would settle and after three days I sealed it back up with duct tape. By my scale it weighs just about 25 pounds. I dont have an area high enough to do wall ball but I use it for thrusters and hug it when I do squats. For what I use it for it has served me fine.

Heck I just cut a slit filled with sand and duct taped the heck out of it 19.5 lbs with a little give to it.
