I'm in! Bump. I say for anyone that wants to jump on board, just start now and propose your 21 day stop point from here: For good measure August 27th

And, black coffee it is tomorrow!

Re: Kick The Sugar/Grains habit challenge

Thank goodness this challenge does not have a buy-in like the Burpee challenge.

Dumped what little grain products I had in the trash (I have been off bread for a while, so mostly stuff like pasta) and made a Costco run. Now all I have to do is hit the farmer's market and I am set.

I'll be dumping dairy as well.

Eating today was 99% paleo, except for that mocha I had in the morning.

Once again... this challenge is a little more flexible. If it's too difficult for you to sub protein shakes with anything else, then we do not want this challenge to run your life. I, personally, have hidden my protein powder jar just for kicks and giggles. It's completely your call. We won't judge you either way

Dr. Cordain says that protein powder is acceptible sometimes in PDfA.

Re: Kick The Sugar/Grains habit challenge

And Day Three begins...so far so good. I had been easing off the grains for a while so I had a rolling start. I can't get by without sometihng in my coffee, but it's only two cups a day most often.

How's everyone else hanging in there?

Re: Kick The Sugar/Grains habit challenge

Had to quit cold turkey.

Day one was fine. Day two is starting off horribly.

I just had to start IF on the same day as this didn't I?

Doing well, thanks Not as easy as I expected, though! I went to Publix (southern US grocery store) yesterday and decided to cut down an aisle to get to the produce section faster... unfortunately, I accidentally cut down the cookies/candies aisle. D'oh!

How's everyone else? What's your toughest food to avoid? <-- maybe this question is a poor idea

First day is today...

Do i have to say it? I think oatmeal but I do use splenda in my coffee at work. That may be difficult to avoid. Not sure if I am giving that up yet or not.
