CFCC BCCC, Part 2: The next 60 days!

For non Crossfit Center City people who read this thread, our affiliate, CFCC, had a body composition change challenge (BCCC) that ran from August 9th-September 9th. A bunch of us have seen some results and decided that we would like to keep going with the challenge, tracking our changes over the next 60 days (and very conveniently ending right before the winter holiday season!). That means that we will end this next leg of the challenge somewhere around November 15th.

There are no strict rules other than the participating people should post their goals at the beginning, and then their diets daily, tracking grams of carbs/fat/protein (and anything else they feel like tracking), as well as links to their online food logs (fitday, dailyplate, etc) when possible. Of course, questions, recipes and venting sessions are expected

It seems appropriate to have a mid-way evaluation (mid-October) where we all weight in, and get measured and photographed once again by our fearless leaders (Erin and Greg) to continue to track our progress.

Other than that, any other ideas for part deux are more than welcome!

So once again, let the games (part 2!) begin!

Re: CFCC BCCC, Part 2: The next 60 days!

Round 2!

I was really excited about the first CFCC BCCC challenge, and am really curious how far I can go with my new diet. Round 2 is going to feel more like a marathon than a sprint, but I'm ok with that, because I know that it will put me on the right track, even if changes don't come quite as quickly as they did in the first 4 weeks. What did I see during month 1?

Weight loss total: 8 lbs
Waist: lost 1 inch, with slightly more visible abs
Arm flexed/relaxed ratio: gained 1/2 inch while my arm got smaller overall
Improved performance both in strength and metcon speed
Improved state of well-being, including more energy, better muscle recovery (thanks to Greg's pre/post work out concoction) less dependency on caffeine, and no food guilt!

Goals for Part 2:
Current LBM (recalculated) 110 lbs:
Protein 110g/day
Carbs 120g/day +pre-workout carbs on CF days
Fat 55g/day
Fish Oil 2g/day DHA/EPA
Drink lots of water

I would like to continue to lose a minimum of 1lb/week without losing strength, speed or stamina. I would also like to continue being able to occasionally eat out with friends without going overboard, but plan to allow a good cheat meal once every 2 week just for sanity's sake.

I'm excited to see what the next 8 weeks have in store!

Re: CFCC BCCC, Part 2: The next 60 days!

Holla, I'm ready too. I'm in wedding mode right now and after that nonsense is over I'll shift back into TRAINING mode, although PRs on every day of peak week will of course be welcomed.

I'm a slacker. I still haven't weighed and measured yet from the first challenge.

Today I ate:

Breakfast - 2 hardboiled eggs, about 20 kalamata olives (what do you guys put in fitday for these? SMALL OLIVES? Because Greek Olives makes the fat count ridiculous and these are teeny tiny. I could be wrong though). 1 cup marinated mushrooms (just vinegar)

Lunch - way too late. Not enough pulled chicken, about 10-12oz green beans with a pat of butter

Snack - tootsie pop. sigh.

Dinner - moving stuff. sushi on the run. eel avo/spicy tuna
*Ate a bunch of banana chips out of the bag after. Big mistake, because I shouldn't even have these in the house (bought them for hiking). Tossing them tomorrow.

I need to reweigh and measure myself to adjust my macro ratios if need be and then I'll start digging in on the weighing and measuring. Oh, and I already know I'm going to stick to no grains/no sugar/ clean food etc for the duration, with the exception of whey protein. And a few days of pre-wedding related celebration.

Hi. Do you see the 'facebook foodies do it in public' thread?

Does anyone here feel like joining forces since we are all doing the same thing - making food a focus toward reaching our goals?

Do I hear a resounding yes? LOL. We only have a few people on the other thread and a few here....

So.. I'm in. I can come over to your party, or you all can come to mine!

E, you can post on here if you want. I am going to post the same thing on both message boards, it only take 2 seconds to cut and paste.
