5 Ton 5 K / Mid-Atlantic

Registration is now open for the 2011, 5 Ton 5 K at CrossFit Diesel!

This is an open competition for all skill levels that combines a
total of 5 Kilometers of distance running with 5 Tons of lifting in a
great 1-WOD/ 1-Day event. There will be Men's and Women's Rx'd
divisions, as well as Men's & Women's scaled divisions. Our goal is
to make this an inclusive and fun event for everybody!

The specific lifts & loads of the WOD will be announced at the event -
But just to give you a hint , workout lifts & loads will be based on
famous CrossFit benchmark girls. If you can do most of the Girl WOD
as Rx'd, you can finish this race Rx'd. But regardless, there are
scaled divisions for everyone to get their "5 Tons of Fun" in!

The event will be held on Saturday, October 1st and have 5 heats
scheduled to run every hour from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
We're planing on 70 participants. All participants will get an awesome
"5 ton 5k" Tee shirt. There will be grilling, beer, partying, and Bonus WOD
activities during the "After Party" for any athlete who wants to participate

We're at: 9520 Gerwig Lane, Suite T, Columbia, MD 21046

The facility is large enough to run 14 athletes per heat, with room for spectators, judges, warm-up aria - etc.

I know it says you're waiting till the day of the event but will your website announce the actual lifts? I'm in Tucson and can't make it, but I'm very interested in how this event goes.
