I heard that Chuck Liddell will be fighting again in UFC 76. the match will be in September

Isn't that kind of soon after his last fight?

Franklin,

His last fight was May 26th, and his fight against Jardine will be September 22nd. That puts almost exactly four months in between fights. I'm sure Smiley and some others can comment on their personal experience, but I've seen fighters go with less downtime between fights.

The normal down time for a TKO lose is about 3 months.... longer for a knockout but Chuck never actually went to sleep that i can remember.

Franklin,
Most State Athletic Commissions impose a mandatory "suspension" on a fighter after a knockout. It is for the fighters safety. In most states it ranges from 60-90 days, so he is well outside that. Some states also have a shorter period for the TKO's.

He is ready, and seriously, Jardine is in over his head.

Frank- aren't you an old member? I figured the Corps left you on deployment.

Re: UFC 76

And yet Jardine won.

Is MMA too random? Nah. But maybe Lidell is too predictable now or too cocky in his style.

Re: UFC 76

Joseph,
Yep, been around since 2002. Just keep deploying and having to start over. The moderators were kind enough to link my old posts to my new profile.
