Painstorm - July '09

From the twisted mind of Karl Steadman at Crossfit Manchester

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
3 rounds of

In 5 minutes run 400m once then in the remaining time take 135lb from the ground to overhead as many times as possible

Rest 1 minute

In 5 minutes run 400m once then in the remaining time do as many muscle ups as possible

Rest 1 minute

Score is total reps. Runs don't count so get it done fast y'all
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Cheers, kempie

Re: Painstorm - July '09

So, after recent brain-fart mis-understandings in WOD specifics, am I right in reading this as a total of 6 400m runs, 3 lots of over head and 3 lots of MU?

When would crossfit Newcastle be trying it?

Correct mate - 6 5 minute intervals, 1 run per interval, 3 overhead and 3 MU.

CFNEE (you do know the difference?!) will hit this one saturday in July. Will give you a heads up to make sure you are there.

Cheers, kempie

Oops! Aye, the differences are you've updated your website in the last 2 years and I've been there more than once.

Looking forward to it, especially the minutes 'rest' which will seem like nothing.

Nope. CrossFit North East England has always been just that. Crossfit Newcastle is Ian Malone's place, he's the guy who is now teaching the kids BJJ class at our box.

And Karl, that's just a plain ol' sick painstorm!

Re: painstorm, unsure what's going to hurt more, but suspect 400 runs will degenerate into an active rest break
