Help me not die on a box jump tonight

Going to 50". I am certain I can get it but if I don't commit I'm done for. Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Help me not die on a box jump tonight

When I went for a box jump max we stacked a tractor tire on top of 3 30inch boxes and added plates to each box to increase the hight. It looks like a giant tripod with a tire on top. That way if you miss you are hitting soft rubber rather then a box.

If you're gonna be dumb enough to ask us for help, then you deserve what you get.

That should be the motto of the internet.

Re: Help me not die on a box jump tonight

Glad you didn't go for it. If you were asking for "how not to die" advice hours before you attempted it, you were bound to fail.

100% wrong attitude to have.

A post that says, "Going for 50" box jump tonight - video tomorrow" is something positive. Go big - and KNOW you can go big, or go home.

I guess one question I would have - if you're sure you were going to make 50", I'll assume that you've done 30, 40, 45.... etc. Surely 50" wasn't going to be your first attempt ever? So if you HAVE done tall jumps before, what did you do then? Really not a big deal to have a spotter, or even just a crash pad behind you where you launch, and the worst that can happen beyond that is really just F'ing up your shins if you don't get your toes over...
