Secret Crossfit proposal

Hi all,

I met my GF at my local CF box and decided that's where I wanted to ask the big question too.

Love the community and family aspect that CF brings to the table. With it blowing up in the past couple of years I feel sometimes that part of it is lost.

Family and work safe

Re: Secret Crossfit proposal

Congratulations! Marriage is even better than the courtship, but only if you continue to try and impress her everyday.

Very nice video too. It amazes me how busy and physically large some affiliates are! I've only been to one affiliate since I do all of my training at home, but its classes ranged in size from 2 to maybe 10 people.

Re: Secret Crossfit proposal

Congrats, JP. I wish the two of you happiness through life's challenges.

I've seen other surprise proposal videos, and this is better than most. The execution was perfect. The moment is great when everyone hits the deck and it's just the two of you left standing. Before she can answer "What is happening," you start dancing. Well done!

My other thought was that you don't smile much (at least in this video), but I can tell there is a great sense of humor inside.

Re: Secret Crossfit proposal

haha thank you. I dance way better to hip hop songs then I do Bruno Mars. After I made this thread the video went viral. 200k+ views in 48hrs. It was a cool 2 days for sure. Emails and calls from news stations, radio and it even aired on Good Morning America. Was even better to see CF post it on their FB page.

It was very surreal and made the moment special. will be a cool story to look back on in 30 years and tell my grand kids "look! your grandpa could dance! kind of...."

Re: Secret Crossfit proposal

I'm usually a big downer on elaborate, video'd proposals....but somehow, doing it at Crossfit makes me re-think that entirely.....LOL.

JP, that was pretty damn awesome, and personally, I think you've got some sweet moves. And your wife to be is a beautifully fit woman. Best of luck to you guys!

(and ho-lee crap, that was a huge class....couldn't tell if that was a CF class, or a mosh pit...)

Thanks Tighe.

The Saturday class normally isn't that big. Maybe 20 people and we will spread out to the other side of the gym. But since everyone knew about the proposal we had about 80 there and we squeezed everyone in on one side. The "excuse" for not spreading out was that we were wanting to make the gym look crowded for the video, which was "FB marketing". lol

funny, b/c I guess it really did turn out that way.

JP, you probably don't remember me - I started out at CrossFit Strong while you were still there - but this is a fantastic thing to see on a Friday afternoon. I posted it in the Strong social group for the old-timers that may remember you.
