You spend a lot of time on computer in a dark room don't you
Two different stimulus.
It's the stimulus of prolactin and dopamine that makes
T levels via sex.
Not sure about you but I rather be bonking my brains out
with a real person. Verses the sitting on the sofa with laptop and
Tissues.
I have been to Slovenia, if your doing the above latter , your not trying hard enough

Clin Endocrinol (Oxf), 2004 Sep, 61(3):382-6. "Type V phosphodiesterase inhibitor treatments for erectile dysfunction increase testosterone levels"
lack of sexual activity due to erectile dysfunction (ED) decreases testosterone (T) levels through a central effect on the hypothalamic-pituitary axis." [4]
- nut shell. Men who can't have sex. Have lower t levels

Physiology & Behavior, Jul 1992, 52(1):195-197, "Male and female salivary testosterone concentrations before and after sexual activity
For example, one 1992 study examined four couples on days that they did and didn't have sexual activity. As you can probably guess, they found that testosterone levels increased on nights after sexual activity and did not on nights where there was no intercourse. The authors noted that their study showed that it was likely sex that increased testosterone and not the other way around.

One would be hard pressed to find a md that would place
A 25yr with a normal t level on replacement therapy.
The adverse effects for this age group out weighs the possible benefits
You can't base the problem from one test.

Re: Got my Testosterone Tested

I think a more important question is "how do you feel?"

If you energy levels and libido are good I wouldn't worry too much about the lab values even if they were clinically pretty low. If they're not, make lifestyle changes to try to improve them. Personally, I'd only consider TRT after six months of lifestyle changes failed to improve symptoms.

Some MDs let you self inject, and also co-prescribe aromatase inhibitors to keep estrogen levels in check. Including meds, appointments, and labs my TRT costs about 1k/yr.

Libido is fine, energy is in the crapper. Seems to be sleep-related, I never sleep straight through the night. Always wake up at least once or twice. I had a sleep study done last month and everything checked back normal.

I take a ZMA, melatonin, no electronics an hour before bed, blackout curtains, cool room...whole ball of wax

i agree with the regular and consistent sex, assuming you are married. if not married then i do not advise sex. if not married, then masturbation may be helpful, though laptops are not required.

Re: Got my Testosterone Tested

have you checked your diet. eating the right things can boost T levels. getting enough fat, calories is helpful. certain vitamins and minerals help support. you need enough cholesterol. and avoid things that are bad for T levels, like soy, plastics, etc. Alcohol consumption can also have an effect. Following a crossfit football diet would probably be a good start. there is some good article out there about it if you search.

I basically follow "The Power Athlete Diet." Only difference is I eat rice.

Tell me more about staying away from plastics. I store and heat up my lunches in plastic containers every day
