Westside 4 Athletes

As some of you may know I am involved in the now being developed Westside 4 Athletes (W4A). The main program is being developed by Louie Simmons and Rick Scarpulla. I am really excited about it as it will take Louie's Westside principles and combined them with some very unique speed, agility, and reaction time practices to make for what will be the best athletic development program to date.

Some of you seemed pretty interested so I wanted to post this link to Rick's site (WFS): http://www.myultimateadvantage.com/b...?bulletinID=25

I particularly excited about this program's applicability to CrossFit.

I think we will have the first seminar in the next 4-6 weeks and the site should be live by the end of the year. The full deal should be rolled out early 2012.

Awesome. Thanks, Chris. I'm really looking forward to reading more about this program. Will there be a membership-based website, or an ebook, or some other kinds of resources for people who can't attend a seminar?

Re: Westside 4 Athletes

Can you give us a little idea in what way it will be different from the standard Westside? And will we be able to do this at a gym, or do we need special equipment? And will there be a template or will the workouts be posted daily, similar to CrossFit workouts?

Not 100% decided, but I believe the current model will be a low monthly fee to access all of the information (I mean low like $10 or something) and that will include regular updates with videos and articles.

The difference will be in the speed, agility, and reaction time work AND in the application of the Westside resistance training. That's all I can say for now, but trust me when I say this will be a whole new ball of wax (and a very exciting one).

You will be able to do the program at a gym and with or without special equipment.

I don't know about daily workouts, but there will 100% be a template for you to follow depending upon your sport.

Awesome. I don't play any sports anymore, so I just want to stay in great shape. I read the website and it has crossfitters in there, so I just want to try it out to keep getting in better shape.
