Thanks a lot Stephen, I appreciate the kudos. I lack so much compared to some of these guys, I just push myself everyday to kick as much *** as I can, while there is still *** to be kicked!

Rock on Brother,

Re: The Mutation from Man to Machine...

8/31/8

Snatch 7x1
1 - 85#
1 - 95#
1 - 105#
1 - 115#
1 - 115#
1 - 115#
1 - 115#

Working on snatch form... It's getting better, this is definitely one of my neglected lifts, I will have to remedy that.

Back Squat 7x2
2 - 130#
2 - 150#
2 - 180#
2 - 200#
2 - 220#
2 - 230#
2 - 230# (These were not deep enough)

Back squats felt better than they ever have... Never free squatted more than 180 to 190# before, so today was great...

WOD: "Diane"
21-15-9
225# Deadlifts
HSPU's

Time - 6:46

I felt I could have gone faster, took a few breaks when I shouldn't have. Next time, it's sub 6, for sure...

I did "Diane" on 5/9/8 with a time of 8:17 and I couldn't even do HSPU's so I subbed inverted pushups with my feet up on a bar. So I smoked my old time by a minute and half all while doing regular HSPU's instead of inverted pushups, so I really progressed on this WOD.

Cool Down:
10 - Horizontal Muscle-Ups
120 Meter Sprint
5 - Horizontal Muscle-Ups
120 Meter Sprint

Happy Labor Day!

Awesome Diane, dude!

We've only done Diane once at my affiliate, and that night I had to sit it out because I had jammed my thumb pretty badly a couple days earlier and it was still giving me a lot of pain - not to mention, it was immobilized.

I can't wait to try that WOD... I love DLs at 225#. I think that is a perfect weight for a 21-15-9 WOD.

Thanks buddy, I appreciate that.

I agree, I think it's a great weight, it's not light enough to be super easy and just blow through them but it's certainly not too heavy to cause undue strain.

I was pretty happy with that time, especially after the strength work. But like I said, next time will be sub 6, for sure!

Re: The Mutation from Man to Machine...

Forgot to mention, my WOD today, for 8/31/8, was done on a 12 hour fast. Fasted for a total 15 hours today.

Doing a bit of experimenting with the IF game...

Re: The Mutation from Man to Machine...

9/3/8

Took the last couple days off... I've been feeling terrible and out of it lately. But today I thought that I would at least appease the CF gods somewhat...

Still, felt weak as **** today...

L-Sit Practice on Parallettes

Planche Practice on Parallettes

Front Squats 5x5
5 - 130#
5 - 140#
5 - 150#
5 - 160#
5 - 170#

These squats felt heavy, heavy but good. Considering my body is just crap right now, I was decently pleased with these.

Abmat Sit-ups
15 - Sit-ups with 25# plate
15 - Sit-ups Regular
15 - Sit-ups with 25# plate
15 - Sit-ups Regular

Then,

Double 1.5pood KB hold for 4:00. (Killer grip training...)

Tomorrow will be better, I promise
